Providing expert care for endocrine disorders is a team effort as hormonal concerns effect the entire body. Managing conditions may mean changes to diet, exercise routines and medications. The Cleveland Clinic endocrinology team works with other healthcare teams to make sure treatment is personalized to full body needs and that every patient has the information they need to live a healthy life. From diabetes specialists to thyroid experts, endocrine oncologists and more, patients can be confident that our caregivers will know their condition thoroughly — how it affects their life and how to manage it best. A caregiver in this position works 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
Nice To Haves
- One year of patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician.
- Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients.
- Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
- Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients’ responses.
- Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
