LPN Ambulatory - Endocrine Medicine
About The Position
The LPN Ambulatory - Endocrine Medicine provides patient care at Cleveland Clinic Green Health and Wellness Center, a facility offering medical and wellness services and backed by Cleveland Clinic Akron General. The endocrinology team supports patients with hormonal conditions, including diabetes and thyroid disorders, by coordinating personalized care and helping patients understand how to manage their health. The caregiver works under the direction of an RN and/or physician to deliver patient care, collect and document patient data, complete nursing assessments, carry out the current care plan and treatments, monitor patient responses, perform routine laboratory tests, and educate patients and family members. The main work location is Green, with possible travel to Stow Health and the Akron Physicians Office. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, with a workday starting at either 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

- One year of patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care activities under the direction of an RN and/or physician.
- Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients.
- Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
- Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment, and communicate patients’ responses.
- Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
- Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
