About The Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in Allergy and Rheumatology, you are key to the success of operations and compassionate patient care. The role supports patients’ health through nursing care, medication administration, documentation, and preparation of clinical areas. It is per diem, scheduled Monday through Friday during the day, at 222 Alexander Street, Suite 3000, Rochester, NY 14607.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or have an ASN/BSN in Nursing.
• Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• BLS – Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse certification through the NYS Office of Professions.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Perform treatment procedures and provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, friends, and families.
• Supervise assigned team members.
• Administer medication and give or receive relevant written and verbal reports according to departmental protocols.
• Maintain concise, pertinent, and complete documentation using the computerized medical record process.
• Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked.
