About The Position

The LP Service Tech and Driver is the main point of contact for propane tank maintenance, including delivering, setting, installing, and servicing propane tanks. The position also assists with fuel transportation and other general maintenance as needed. The selected candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).

Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• HazMat endorsement, or ability to obtain it quickly upon hire.
• Mechanical knowledge.
• Obtain required propane certifications.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work extended hours and possible weekends during peak seasons.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including a satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to walk one mile, climb steps and ladders, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend and climb in and out of a truck.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in hot and cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install and set propane tanks and remove tanks.
• Conduct field repairs of tank valves, seals, and lines.
• Analyze and troubleshoot leaks and repair equipment.
• Deliver fuel as required.
• Understand and safely operate assigned equipment and vehicles.
• Consistently follow applicable laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain positive communication with the supervisor and customer as needed.
• Complete necessary paperwork and records accurately.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of equipment, buildings, and grounds.
