About The Position

The LP Delivery Driver is responsible for outside sales of propane to residential, commercial, and farm accounts, from initial contact through delivery. The role may also involve setting tanks and providing service. The driver delivers propane safely and punctually, serves customers, develops a customer base within an assigned territory, maintains required records, and performs installation, removal, and service work as needed. The position also provides backup to the Energy department as needed.

Requirements

• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps or ladders, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend and climb in and out of the truck.

Nice To Haves

• Outside sales experience.
• Knowledge of the sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations efficiently, punctually, and safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service during daily customer interactions by sharing service information and answering inquiries.
• Build the customer base within the sales territory using sales techniques, including cold-call prospecting.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operate the truck according to established safety procedures.
• Perform installation, removal, and service as needed.
• Provide backup to the Energy department as needed.
