About The Position

The LP Delivery Driver sells and delivers propane to residential, commercial, and farm accounts, managing customer relationships from initial contact through delivery. The role may also involve setting tanks and providing service. The driver works safely and punctually, supports customers with service information, develops the customer base in an assigned territory, maintains required records, and assists the Energy department as needed.

Requirements

• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps and ladders, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend and climb in and out of the truck.

Nice To Haves

• Outside sales experience and knowledge of the territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations efficiently, punctually, and safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service by sharing service information and answering customer inquiries.
• Build the customer base within the sales territory using sales techniques, including prospecting and cold calls.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operate the truck according to established safety procedures.
• Perform installations, removals, and service as needed.
• Provide backup to the Energy department as needed.
