About The Position

This role involves carrying out substitute teacher plans for students in Grades K-4, including academic activities and daily duties. The substitute teacher is responsible for maintaining student safety, promoting the school's mission and principles, and enforcing school guidelines. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Exceptional character, creativity, and intelligence with the versatility to work with students in Grades K-4.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects, sometimes exceeding 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, windy conditions, cold, snow, and ice.
• Occasionally required to bend, twist, or climb.
• Moderate concentration/intensity, which includes prolonged mental effort with limited opportunity for breaks.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Nice To Haves

• Elementary teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sub plans left by the teacher, including academic activities and duties such as carpool or lunch duty.
• Leave relevant notes on the day for the absent teacher.
• Maintain student safety as a priority at all times.
• Promote the School’s mission and guiding principles.
• Follow and enforce the School’s guidelines.
• Additional duties as assigned.
