Lower School Judaic Studies Permanent Substitute Teacher
About The Position
Abraham Joshua Heschel School is currently seeking a permanent Judaic Studies Lower School substitute teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This is a full-time exempt position that follows the standard departmental five day schedule. You may be assigned to one classroom for the day or rotate between classrooms as needed, however, you may be asked to step in to assist other divisions as needed. Attendance at a weekly faculty meeting and lunch/recess coverage are also required. Requirements
- Native Hebrew speaker
- Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Judaic Studies, or a related field
- Classroom teaching experience
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Commitment to teamwork and professional growth
- Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
