About The Position

Desert Adventist Academy is seeking a full-time Lower Elementary Multigrade Teacher to plan and deliver instruction for multiple elementary grade levels within a single classroom. The ideal candidate will differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic abilities, develop engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity, and maintain an organized and positive learning environment. This role also involves integrating Seventh-day Adventist beliefs and values into daily instruction, leading spiritual activities, and fostering Christ-like behavior. The teacher will establish clear classroom expectations, promote social-emotional growth, and collaborate with the teaching principal, school board, and parents. Professional responsibilities include maintaining teacher certification, participating in professional development, and adhering to school policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Current NAD Teacher Certification with endorsement in Elementary Education (or willingness to obtain certification)
  • Active membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing
  • Knowledge of elementary instructional best practices and child development
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise and actively engage with elementary-aged students throughout the school day
  • Ability to lift instructional materials and classroom supplies as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the classroom and campus environment

Responsibilities
