About The Position

Bauman Landscape and Construction is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Lowboy Equipment Hauler / Class A Driver to transport heavy equipment and construction machinery to and from job sites throughout the Bay Area. This position is responsible for safely hauling equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers, and attachments while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, DOT compliance, and equipment care. The ideal candidate has experience operating a lowboy trailer, understands proper load securement, and is comfortable working around active construction sites, urban areas, and tight jobsite conditions.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience hauling heavy equipment with lowboy trailers preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements
  • Ability to safely load and unload construction equipment
  • Comfortable operating in active construction environments
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, grading, utilities, concrete, or heavy civil experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport heavy equipment to and from construction job sites
  • Haul equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers, attachments, and other construction machinery
  • Load, unload, chain, and properly secure equipment for transport
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer
  • Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, delivery records, and required DOT documentation
  • Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and load securement requirements
  • Coordinate with dispatch, mechanics, and field crews regarding deliveries, schedules, and equipment needs
  • Operate safely in tight jobsites, urban environments, and active construction zones
  • Assist with basic equipment checks and minor maintenance when needed
  • Keep assigned truck and trailer clean, safe, and in good working condition
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, field crews, and the public
  • Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and pride in quality work
