About The Position

RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Low Voltage Technician in Lake City, FL starting ASAP. This is a commercial project involving the installation of wireless access points and structured cabling infrastructure. Technicians will work from lifts and perform cable installation, routing, termination, and device installation.

Requirements

• Previous Low Voltage / Structured Cabling experience required.
• Experience pulling and installing CAT6/CAT6A and fiber optic cable.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and from a lift.
• Lift certification required or must be willing and able to obtain certification.
• Ability to safely operate lift equipment after completing required training.
• Ability to read basic blueprints, cable schedules, and installation drawings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have reliable transportation and appropriate PPE.

Nice To Haves

• Experience installing Wireless Access Points preferred.
• Commercial or data center low-voltage experience.
• Experience with structured cabling, fiber, and network infrastructure.
• Experience terminating and testing copper and fiber.
• Previous scissor lift or boom lift experience.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount Wireless Access Points (Client) in commercial facilities.
• Pull, route, dress, and secure CAT6/CAT6A and fiber optic cable.
• Install cable pathways and route cabling through ceilings and other designated areas.
• Terminate and label network cabling according to project specifications.
• Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of copper and fiber cabling.
• Maintain clean, organized cable installations and work areas.
• Follow project drawings, installation standards, and safety procedures.
• Work safely from scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other aerial equipment as required.
• Coordinate with other technicians and project leadership to complete assigned work on schedule.
