About The Position

This role is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and sign-off of low voltage systems in new Lava Island parks. The work involves structured cabling, IP camera systems, access control, and commercial audio systems. The position is with Magma Core Solutions (MCS), the team that builds the indoor play oases. The role offers full scope ownership of low voltage systems, with a focus on Avigilon and Avigilon Alta platforms. The position involves significant travel to new park construction sites and occasional travel to existing parks for support. The Lead will also be responsible for directing a Low Voltage Technician on site, coordinating with the on-site MCS Superintendent, and ensuring the work area is organized and clean. Responsibilities include preparing systems for inspection, resolving punch list items, and maintaining as-built drawings. The role also includes supporting existing parks with warranty work, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of hands-on experience in low voltage installation across structured cabling, IP camera systems, electronic access control, and commercial audio.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the installation and commissioning of IP camera and access control systems.
  • Proficiency reading and working from low voltage, network, and AV design drawings.
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA-568, TIA-607) and cable certification.
  • Comfortable directing a small field crew and holding the work to standard.
  • Able and willing to travel heavily with multi-day to multi-week site stays.
  • OSHA 10 certification within 30 days of hire; OSHA 30 within 12 months of hire.
  • Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklift, boom lift), or willingness to obtain them.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Able to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical installation tasks on an active construction site.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A and fiber), including pulling, terminating, certifying, and labeling.
  • Install and commission IP camera systems, including NVR setup and configuration.
  • Install and commission electronic access control systems, including readers, controllers, electric hardware, and software.
  • Install and configure commercial audio systems, including speaker runs, amplifiers, and zone controllers.
  • Stand up network infrastructure, including switches, patch panels, and PoE.
  • Work from design drawings, identify design adjustments needed due to site conditions.
  • Direct the Low Voltage Technician on site, setting the pace, sequencing work, and holding the standard.
  • Coordinate with the on-site MCS Superintendent on sequencing, ceiling close-in, power, and field conditions.
  • Keep the work area organized, protect existing installations, and leave the site clean.
  • Prepare the low voltage scope for inspection and conduct pre-inspection walks.
  • Walk the punch list with the Superintendent and resolve open items.
  • Maintain accurate as-built drawings and configuration records.
  • Hand off systems that are clean, complete, and operational.
  • Travel to operating Lava Island parks for warranty work, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades.
