About The Position

NEXT Electric, LLC is seeking a full-time Systems Technician in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves the installation, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems. The technician will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, completing job layouts for smaller projects, and providing quality customer support and maintenance services. Compliance with company and customer safety policies, including completing daily safety forms and participating in toolbox talks, is essential. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for future employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years recent low voltage installation experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
  • Successfully pass MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles
  • Successfully pass drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with company and customer safety policies and procedures
  • Completes daily jobsite safety forms and participates in weekly jobsite toolbox talks
  • Installation of pathways and cabling
  • Analyzes blueprints effectively for job site knowledge
  • Analyzes upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures and training
  • Completes overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
  • Installation and Termination of peripheral devices
  • Programming and testing of Systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting hardware equipment
  • Provision of quality customer support services
  • Completing maintenance and support service calls for installed Systems
