About The Position

LINX is hiring a Low Voltage Superintendent to lead field operations on hyperscale data center, mission-critical, and large-scale commercial construction projects across the United States. This is a senior field leadership role responsible for leading crews, owning project quality, and serving as the primary point of contact for problem-solving on-site. The role involves building structured cabling and fiber on complex, high-stakes projects for a rapidly growing company nationwide. The position involves a mix of crew leadership, project execution, and client-facing coordination, with the majority of time spent on-site managing the work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing low voltage or structured cabling crews on commercial construction projects, with a track record of running multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with hyperscale data center clients such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc.
  • Hands-on mastery of low voltage installation across structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and associated pathways — you can do the work yourself and teach others to do it right.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard test equipment and the ability to run tests, interpret results, troubleshoot failures, and produce clean documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents including scope of work, bill of materials, blueprints, and project schedules.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry standards — BICSI, Division 27, etc.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a crew of 20-50 technicians across active jobsites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English — you will interact directly with clients, GCs, and internal project teams regularly.
  • Ability to manage change orders, timesheets, and staffing documentation accurately and on time.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to travel 100% across the USA for projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise low voltage technicians and leads across medium to large-scale projects — hyperscale data centers and commercial construction projects.
  • Set daily and weekly crew priorities, manage scheduling and staffing levels, and make real-time decisions when conditions on-site change.
  • Conduct hands-on technical training for technicians and leads — covering installation methods, test equipment operation, and quality standards.
  • Support hiring decisions and help build the crew capacity needed to meet project demand.
  • Own on-site execution from mobilization through close-out — structured cabling, high-density fiber optic networks, copper terminations (Cat6/Cat6A), pathway systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Operate and interpret results from test equipment including Fluke Testers, OTDR's & power meters — and ensure all testing documentation meets project and client standards.
  • Manage materials on-site — receiving, staging, tracking, and flagging shortages or procurement issues to the project manager before they become schedule problems.
  • Enforce compliance with LINX quality standards, customer contractual requirements, and project completion documentation at every phase.
  • Lead safety culture on-site — daily toolbox talks, hazard identification, incident reporting, and enforcement of OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Maintain compliance with all project-specific safety plans, site access requirements, and documentation standards — particularly critical in data center and mission-critical environments where access controls and protocols are stringent.
  • Represent LINX in project meetings with GCs, trade contractors, owners, and clients — communicate schedule status, manpower levels, issues, and change order scope clearly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, and estimating on material needs, scope changes, and budget impacts.
