About The Position

LINX is seeking a Low Voltage Superintendent to oversee field operations for hyperscale data center, mission-critical, and large-scale commercial construction projects nationwide. This senior field leadership position involves managing crews, ensuring project quality, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and General Contractors (GCs) to resolve on-site issues. The role requires extensive experience in leading structured cabling and fiber installations on complex, high-stakes projects. The position involves a mix of crew leadership, project execution, and client coordination, with the majority of time spent on-site managing the work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing low voltage or structured cabling crews on commercial construction projects, with a proven ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with hyperscale data center clients such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, OCI, etc.
  • Hands-on expertise in low voltage installation, including structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and associated pathways, with the ability to perform the work and train others.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard test equipment, including the ability to run tests, interpret results, troubleshoot failures, and produce documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents such as scope of work, bill of materials, blueprints, and project schedules.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry standards, including BICSI and Division 27.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a crew of 20-50 technicians across active jobsites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to accurately manage change orders, timesheets, and staffing documentation.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise low voltage technicians and leads on medium to large-scale projects, including hyperscale data centers and commercial construction.
  • Set daily and weekly crew priorities, manage scheduling and staffing, and make real-time decisions based on changing site conditions.
  • Provide hands-on technical training to technicians and leads on installation methods, test equipment operation, and quality standards.
  • Support hiring decisions and contribute to building the necessary crew capacity.
  • Oversee on-site execution from mobilization to close-out, including structured cabling, high-density fiber optic networks, copper terminations (Cat6/Cat6A), pathway systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Operate and interpret results from test equipment (Fluke Testers, OTDRs, power meters) and ensure all testing documentation meets project and client standards.
  • Manage on-site materials, including receiving, staging, tracking, and flagging shortages or procurement issues to the project manager.
  • Enforce compliance with LINX quality standards, customer contractual requirements, and project completion documentation.
  • Lead the on-site safety culture through daily toolbox talks, hazard identification, incident reporting, and enforcement of OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Maintain compliance with project-specific safety plans, site access requirements, and documentation standards, especially in data center and mission-critical environments.
  • Represent LINX in project meetings with GCs, trade contractors, owners, and clients, professionally communicating schedule status, manpower, issues, and change order scope.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, and estimating on material needs, scope changes, and budget impacts.
  • Participate in pre-bid walkthroughs and post-project reviews as needed.
