About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Low Voltage/Fire Alarm Sales Representative to lead and expand our security and fire alarm service and installation business. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with high energy, appetite to hunt, and a working knowledge of code compliant fire alarm systems, strong industry relationships, and a proven ability to sell complex Total Solutions in the small to mid-commercial market. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to customers and collaborate closely with internal design and operations teams.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience in fire alarm or life safety systems
  • Strong working knowledge of code-compliant fire alarm systems, including NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements
  • Proven success selling fire alarm service, retrofit, and system installations
  • Strong understanding of system design concepts, equipment such as Potter, Silent Knight, DMP, & Firelite, and enforcing code requirements, and approved Security vendors
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally

  • Experience working directly with AHJs, inspectors, and fire marshals
  • Experience with healthcare, education, retail, government, civic, and restaurant

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a portfolio of fire alarm service, retrofit, new logos and some new construction accounts
  • Drive hunter Sales in Total Solutions, Fire Alarms and Services, Intrusion, CCTV and Access Control
  • Drive revenue through consultative sales of code compliant fire alarm systems and service agreements, and Total Solutions Security
  • Conduct detailed job walks, system evaluations, and compliance assessments, to drive new business
  • Develop, implement, and present advanced sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives revolving around Total Solutions, with a Fire emphasis
  • Identify and pursue mid-commercial sales opportunities from concept through close, with some more complex solutions as required
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure accurate, compliant proposals
  • Prepare and present bids, proposals, and technical solutions to owners, contractors, and AHJs
  • Serve as a technical resource for customers regarding NFPA codes and local authority requirements, directly and through RapidFire support venues
  • Stay current with NFPA standards, code updates, and AHJ enforcement trends
  • Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, and pre-bid conferences
  • Mentor other sales team members as needed
