About The Position

Adams is seeking a Low Voltage Electrician Apprentice to join their growing Electrical Division in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while working on residential projects that may involve fire alarm systems, security systems, access control, surveillance systems, structured cabling, and communications infrastructure. The company provides training and support for individuals coming from construction, manufacturing, the trades, technical school, or those looking to launch a rewarding career.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to work with hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments
Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Nice To Haves

Construction experience
Electrical experience
Telecommunications or data cabling experience
Fire alarm or security systems experience
Trade school or technical school coursework
OSHA 10 Certification

Responsibilities

Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems
Assist with fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling installations
Pull, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling
Learn to read blueprints and installation drawings
Work on and help install lighting systems
Work alongside experienced technicians and electricians
Maintain safe and organized job sites
Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities
