About The Position

This is a contract position for a Low Voltage Data Center Technician in Red Oak, TX, with a project duration of 4 months and a potential for extension or long-term opportunity based on performance. The role involves working 6-7 days a week, 12-hour shifts, primarily Monday-Saturday, with flexibility for Sundays as needed. The position requires a commitment to following data center standards, safety protocols, and construction site requirements. Candidates must be reliable and possess the necessary certifications, including OSHA 10 and Scissor Lift Certification, or be willing to obtain them. Compliance with drug screening and background checks is mandatory.

Requirements

Previous data center experience
Experience installing fiber optic and/or copper cabling
Ability to work in a fast-paced construction or mission-critical environment
Ability to work extended shifts and overtime as required
Reliable transportation to the designated shuttle location
OSHA 10 Certification required
Scissor Lift Certification required
Drug screening required
Random onsite drug testing
Background check required during project onboarding
PPE required and must be always worn onsite

Nice To Haves

Fiber optic installation
Copper installation
Testing and troubleshooting utilizing Fluke testers and OTDR equipment
Lead technician experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Pull and install fiber optic and copper cabling
Run, pull, dress, label, and organize cabling
Rack and stack networking equipment
Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes
Perform fiber and copper terminations
Work with backbone fiber including 144-count and 288-count fiber
Assist with testing and troubleshooting activities
Follow data center standards, safety protocols, and construction site requirements
