About The Position

This role is responsible for responding to guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. The Lounge Server will ensure knowledge of the menu, restaurant promotions, and specials, and will describe all menu items, prices, and methods of preparation. They will use suggestive selling techniques to encourage selection of house specialties, take guest orders, and input them into the point-of-sale system. The server will retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders, serve beverages in accordance with regulations, and replenish beverages while ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintaining well-stocked serving stations and managing guest checks and payments are also key responsibilities. The position requires flexibility to work day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Two years high volume cocktail server experience.
  • One year resort or country club experience required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with fellow employees and other departments.
  • Maintain a presentable appearance, behavior and manner at all times.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
  • Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
  • Ensure serving stations is always well-stocked.
  • Control guest checks and secure proper payment.
  • Complete and perform various side duties as needed.
  • Work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidays.
