This position in located in the heart of North Orange County, Brea, California is a thriving city known for its strong community values, exceptional quality of life, and vibrant business environment. With a blend of suburban comfort and urban convenience, Brea offers professionals a welcoming and dynamic place to live and work. To mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes.

Requirements

  • Use arithmetic to total costs and make change.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods.
  • Move fingers and hands easily and quickly to handle things like dishes, money, and merchandise.
  • Lift and carry things like heavy trays.

Responsibilities

  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer.
  • Collect money for drinks served.
  • Order and requisition liquors and supplies.
  • Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
  • May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • May prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats.
  • Perform in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Perform in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for compliance with all state and local regulations pertaining to the public operation of the hotel’s bar area, including maximum safe occupancy, emergency exit accessibility, smoke-free area maintenance.
  • Responsible for knowing and recognizing in-state and out-of-state drivers licenses and state-issued identification cards.
  • Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
  • Support and adhere to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  • All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
