Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
  • Automotive or auction experience preferred
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
  • Team player who can collaborate well with multiple departments, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering amazing experiences.
  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining strict attention to detail and quality.
  • Proven ability to manage deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle varied duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and effective interpersonal skills.
  • To be able to do your job at ADESA, you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between auction operations and customers while performing pre-sale quality checks and supporting overall operational flow.
  • Manage vehicle preparation by recommending and overseeing reconditioning services, such as PDR or glass repair, based on account criteria to ensure sale readiness.
  • Review and write repair orders, entering them into the PC system and coordinating repairs with the shops.
  • Assist with inventory management by locating, numbering, and moving vehicles to designated areas while confirming VIN, make, year, and mileage.
  • Track missing units and assist with locating vehicles for customers.
  • Apply appropriate numbering, tagging, and stickers to vehicles; mark numbers on windshields and place units on spot for sale.
  • Coordinate sale lane activities to drive an efficient and customer-focused auction experience.
  • Perform basic vehicle diagnostic determinations to decide if a vehicle needs to be moved to the Mechanic Shop.
  • Walk vehicles with customer representatives before the sale for a final quality check.
  • Use electronic devices to scan inventory, record movement, and take photos of vehicles as needed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
