About The Position

The Lot Porter helps ensure customer satisfaction by keeping vehicles and the dealership lot clean and organized. The role oversees vehicle deliveries to the dealership, arranges vehicles arriving or following sales to make efficient use of lot space, and services vehicles to protect them from deterioration and maintain a spotless appearance. The ideal candidate is energetic, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and has a valid driver’s license, strong communication and customer service skills, organizational and problem-solving abilities, and a positive attitude. The position may also include additional routine duties beyond those listed.

Requirements

Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
Professional and dependable.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer and internet skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

Inspect delivered vehicles for damage, assign stock control numbers, and catalog and store keys.
Service vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
Move sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.
Deliver sold vehicles.
Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
Help maintain the lot’s appearance by cleaning driveways and sidewalks and removing snow and debris as necessary.
Follow all safety and security procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
