This role is responsible for orienting and instructing new drivers, assisting the supervisor in assigning and directing work, and communicating with management to ensure the proper flow of vehicles. The specialist will maintain logs of vehicle stock numbers and lot locations, communicate schedules and assignments to crew members, and serve as a lane leader on sale days. They will coordinate move requirements, assist in staging and parking vehicles for lease lanes and pre-sales, and manage vans for transporting drivers. The role also involves ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles, shuttling employees to and from auxiliary parking lots and remote sites, and performing daily maintenance checks on vans. A strong commitment to safety is essential, working in cooperation with the Market Safety Manager to support safety activities. The specialist will also work with management to review work volumes, plan staffing levels, monitor departmental performance against KPIs, and develop strategies for improvement. This role involves leading the team by example, championing company values, and ensuring respectful treatment of all employees, while enforcing company policies and procedures. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
