About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates over 50 locations across the US, offering a wide array of vehicle services including repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. Our industry is fun, fast-paced, and competitive, and we are looking for great people to join us on our multi-year expansion journey. This role reports to the Operations Manager or other designated manager and involves operating motor vehicles on the premises to support auction activities, primarily by transporting and staging units in designated areas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
  • Automotive or auction experience preferred
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
  • Ability to comprehend alphanumeric order and motor vehicle traffic signs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions.
  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Hardworking, motivated team player who collaborates well with multiple departments and customers.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to follow basic English instructions.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
  • Support efficient lot flow and ensure vehicles are positioned accurately to meet operational and sale day needs.
  • Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift.
  • Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering.
  • Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
  • Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
  • Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
  • Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
