About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates in over 50 locations throughout the US. Our auto auctions provide a wide array of vehicle services, including repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. We are looking for great people who want to take this journey with us! Reporting to the Operations Manager or other designated manager, you will operate motor vehicles on the premises in support of auction activities. Your primary focus is to execute vehicle movement across the lot by transporting and staging units in designated areas under the direction of leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
  • To be able to do your job at ADESA, you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Automotive or auction experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Always operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
  • Support efficient lot flow and ensure vehicles are positioned accurately to meet operational and sale day needs.
  • Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift.
  • Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering.
  • Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
  • Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
  • Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
  • Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
