About The Position

This role is responsible for operating motor vehicles on the premises in support of auction activities. The primary focus is to execute vehicle movement across the lot by transporting and staging units in designated areas under the direction of leadership. ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates in over 50 locations throughout the US, providing a wide array of vehicle services. The company is poised for a multi-year expansion with significant investments in facilities, sales growth, and inventory.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
  • Ability to comprehend alphanumeric order and motor vehicle traffic signs.
  • Ability to follow basic English instructions.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Automotive or auction experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
  • Support efficient lot flow and ensure vehicles are positioned accurately to meet operational and sale day needs.
  • Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift.
  • Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering.
  • Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
  • Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
  • Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
  • Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
