About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates in over 50 locations throughout the US, providing a wide array of vehicle services including repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. The company is seeking motivated individuals to join them on this journey. Reporting to the Operations Manager or a designated manager, the Lot Driver I will operate motor vehicles on the premises to support auction activities. The primary focus is on executing vehicle movement across the lot by transporting and staging units in designated areas as directed by leadership.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications
  • Ability to comprehend alphanumeric order and motor vehicle traffic signs
  • Ability to follow basic English instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions
  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Hardworking, motivated team player who collaborates well with multiple departments and customers
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Operate motor vehicles safely, practicing conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
  • Support efficient lot flow and ensure vehicles are positioned accurately to meet operational and sale day needs.
  • Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift.
  • Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering.
  • Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
  • Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
  • Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
  • Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
