About The Position

As an entry-level team member, the Lot Attendant works as part of Meijer’s Courtesy Team and supports a variety of retail tasks and additional services. The role involves interacting with customers and providing above-and-beyond customer service. Duties include returning shopping carts to the store, maintaining cleanliness in the parking lot and store, removing snow safely, handling perishable and salvage returns, and assisting across store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Be highly organized and attentive to details.
Have strong listening and communication skills.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
Be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work in the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
