Requirements

  • Valid British Columbia driver’s license, with a clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Ability to operate assigned equipment.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Attention to detail and high quality control standards.
  • Ability to work effectively against deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe transport and use of any and all company property.
  • Report any area of concern regarding supplies, equipment, or other problem areas to the department manager.
  • Report any hazardous condition deemed an emergency to a member of management.
  • Effectively use business systems, platforms, and technology.
  • Understand the importance of exceeding customer expectations on vehicle delivery condition.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with all guests.
  • Start all vehicles, check for dead batteries, and recharge any that are dead.
  • Keep inventory arranged in a neat and orderly fashion and clean at all times, ensuring showroom vehicles are spotless daily.
  • Wash vehicles after service tasks are complete.
  • Advise the Pre-Owned Manager of any noted problems with used vehicles.
  • Keep the work area free of debris and trash from vehicles.
  • Keep the delivery area free of other vehicles and debris.
  • Keep all grounds and facilities, internal and external, in clean, presentable order.
  • Keep the work station neat, tidy, organized, and put all supplies in order at the end of the day.
  • During winter months, keep doorways shoveled, sanded, and cleared, and clear snow and ice from cars in the lot.
  • Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers.
  • Pick up and deliver parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership departments.
  • Perform tasks as directed by Sales or Service Manager (e.g., washing customer cars, emptying trash containers) to assist in the smooth flow of the company.
  • Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
