The Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for patrolling all areas of the property, securing rooms, and assisting guests with room access. This role involves conducting emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audits. The supervisor will monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems, authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas, and assist guests/employees during emergency situations. They will respond to accidents, administer first aid/CPR as required, and gather information to complete reports while maintaining confidentiality. The position also requires defusing disturbances, resolving safety hazard situations, handling interruptions and complaints, and escorting unwelcome persons from the property. Ensuring compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and calling for assistance using proper code responses are also key duties. Additionally, the supervisor will provide proper paperwork to employees, assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees, and serve as a role model for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. This role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, completing safety training and certifications, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and welcoming guests according to company standards. The role also involves anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs, speaking with clear and professional language, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette, developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards. Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements. The role requires reading and visually verifying information, visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines, entering and locating work-related information using computers, moving at a speed required to respond to work situations, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects of various weights, grasping, turning, and manipulating objects, moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and reaching overhead and below the knees. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by Supervisors.
