Loss Prevention Specialist
About The Position
Fanatics Commerce is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to play a critical role in mitigating inventory shrinkage and protecting bottom line profits across its fulfillment and distribution operations. This role is responsible for overseeing physical security and shrink reduction programs within an assigned location, partnering closely with operations, human resources, and support teams to safeguard inventory integrity and minimize loss. The Loss Prevention Associate will conduct risk assessments, monitor CCTV and exception reporting data, and foster a culture of shrink awareness and accountability. Success in this role is measured by the ability to deliver results through BOLD capabilities and measurable outcomes, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.
Requirements
- Previous loss prevention experience, preferably within a warehouse, distribution center, or fulfillment environment.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize CCTV systems and exception reporting tools to identify and mitigate shrink.
- Ability to handle crisis situations with composure, sound judgment, and a clear action orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to multitask, self-manage, and operate independently under off-site supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in support of operational needs.
- High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Senior Loss Prevention Specialist and Loss Prevention Specialist on site-level investigations, loss prevention programs, and process initiatives across the network.
- Manage and coordinate security staff, supporting the maintenance of physical security programs and ensuring consistent application of loss prevention protocols.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, human resources, and other support teams to align on shrink reduction strategies and build a loss prevention-rich environment.
- Foster a culture of commitment to shrink reduction that protects inventory integrity and ensures fans receive accurate, complete orders.
- Verify inventory integrity within the location to support reliable fulfillment and a consistent fan experience.
- Keep safety a top priority by identifying, reporting, and escalating potential safety concerns or threats that could impact associates and operations.
- Assist with departmental projects across the network that contribute to a safer, more secure fulfillment environment for fans and teammates alike.
- Utilize CCTV systems and exception reports proactively to identify patterns, detect anomalies, and mitigate shrink before losses escalate.
- Identify and evaluate areas causing or potentially leading to inventory shrinkage, conducting comprehensive risk assessments and applying data-driven analysis.
- Monitor behavior and report unusual activity, bringing a proactive and analytical mindset to loss prevention challenges within the site.
- Contribute ideas and observations that support continuous improvement of loss prevention programs and physical security processes.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to self-manage and proactively adjust focus based on shifting priorities, operating effectively with off-site supervision.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion in all investigative and operational activities.
- Respond decisively and calmly to crisis situations, applying sound judgment to protect associates, assets, and the site.
- Work flexible hours as needed, including weekends and holidays, to ensure consistent loss prevention coverage across all operational shifts.
