About The Position

GMT was founded in 1986, we are dedicated to the sale and distribution of chilled, frozen food and dry goods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in loss prevention, security management, or related field required, preferably within the warehouse or distribution industry.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control procedures, shrink reduction strategies, and loss prevention techniques.
  • Proficiency in surveillance systems, alarm technologies, and other security tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and respond to emergencies or incidents as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of warehouse facilities to identify potential security vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive loss prevention policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Utilize surveillance systems, alarm technologies, and other security measures to monitor and mitigate risks related to theft, shrinkage, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management and staff to provide training on loss prevention awareness, procedures, and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, or other security breaches, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to loss prevention activities, including incident reports, investigation summaries, and inventory audits.
  • Coordinate with external law enforcement agencies, security vendors, and other third-party partners as needed to support loss prevention efforts.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the field of loss prevention and security, recommending updates and enhancements to existing programs as appropriate.
