About The Position
NEIS, a company owned and operated by ARMStrong Insurance Services, is seeking part-time/occasional Loss Control Field Inspectors. Inspectors conduct loss control inspections of commercial or residential properties within an assigned territory. The job is based from home and requires travel to inspection locations. Hours can vary from week to week, and inspectors make their own schedules. Compensation is roughly $50 and up per inspection, depending on the job and location. The role includes on-the-job training, weekly base pay, weekly mileage reimbursement, and weekly production pay.
Requirements
- Competent use of a digital camera, word-processing software, and email.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record based on NEIS guidelines.
- Live within a 30-mile radius of the assigned territory.
- Maintain automobile insurance while employed, with bodily injury limits of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inspections of commercial or residential properties.
- Apply manual rules and company standards to identify possible risks and reduce the chance of accidents.
- Prepare a schedule that makes optimal use of time and ensures service timelines are met.
- Correspond with insured parties by phone, email, or text as needed to arrange appointments.
- Complete physical loss control surveys to identify current issues or hazards.
- Prepare required reports after inspections, including multiple pictures.
- Communicate survey status through internal progress reports.
