About The Position

Responsible for conducting loss and operational analysis, assessing adherence to best practices, standards and regulations, and developing and/or utilizing existing plans and materials required to achieve successful implementation of risk improvement programs. Applies understanding of client business, risk, risk profile and risk control service techniques to address client needs promptly and professionally, contributing to business growth and retention goals. Establishes and executes project plans with professional and consistent deliverables, accessing and deploying resources (including industry niche and subject matter experts, team members, carrier resources and 3rd party partners). Provides efficient and cost-effective service, proactively managing renewals, actively engaging and participating in account planning, working groups and strategic reviews. Work with leadership to identify opportunities where client expectations and/or consultative solutions may drive additional revenue. Actively supports processes, procedures, growth strategies, and contributes to continuous improvement. Develops, prepares, and delivers professional training programs, presentations, and educational materials for members on safety, risk management, loss control, regulatory compliance, and other relevant topics. Demonstrate proficiency and confidence in public speaking, effectively presenting technical and risk-management information to audiences of varying sizes, roles, and levels of expertise. Possesses a working knowledge of construction safety principles and common construction-related hazards, with the ability to recognize and communicate potential safety concerns during construction site visits and project observations. Demonstrates familiarity with construction activities involving areas such as fall protection, ladders and scaffolding, aerial lifts, personal protective equipment (PPE), electrical safety, excavation, housekeeping, and general jobsite safety practices. Works collaboratively with clients, general contractors, construction managers, and other project stakeholders to identify potential safety concerns and provide practical risk-control recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • 3 years' related experience in Safety, Risk, or Insurance
  • Ability to obtain appropriate licenses in all states where business is conducted
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside or normal business hours as required
  • Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently communicate and facilitate training for both small and large groups in in-person and virtual environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the ability to independently develop professional, organized, and engaging training presentations and supporting educational materials
  • General knowledge of occupational safety principles and the ability to identify and communicate workplace hazards across a variety of environments
  • Basic working knowledge of construction safety practices and the ability to recognize common construction-related hazards during jobsite visits and observations

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Risk Management preferred
  • Certifications or ability to achieve within the first 18 months in the following are Preferred: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Previous experience developing and delivering professional training, safety education, workshops, webinars, or presentations for clients, members, employees, or other professional audiences is preferred
  • Previous experience conducting construction site safety inspections, observations, loss control surveys, or risk assessments is preferred
  • Familiarity with OSHA construction safety standards, industry best practices, and common construction operations is preferred
  • OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Safety training, or similar construction safety education, is preferred
