About The Position

The Loss Control Analyst works in the Card Investigations Division of Operational Compliance at BancFirst’s Headquarters/Support Center in Oklahoma City. This is a team-based role supporting card dispute investigations from initial dispute through case completion, potentially including chargebacks and representments, while maintaining compliance with Regulation E. The role also requires regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

Ability to comprehend regulations pertaining to electronic transactions.
Ability to quickly gather information and make sound judgments.
Dependability, self-motivation, and strong analytical skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PDF documents, and knowledge of or confidence and ability to learn new software and technologies.
Understanding of bank policies and procedures.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills, including the ability to communicate professionally by phone while investigating cases.
Willingness to work in a team environment.
Ability to perform in a highly sensitive environment and handle confidential matters.

Responsibilities

Assist banks with card dispute questions, including dispute form completion, the investigation process, and investigation status.
Process and monitor disputes from initial filing through case closure in a timely manner, including sending customer letters as needed to comply with regulations.
Process and monitor chargebacks and representments.
Monitor and track cases, ensure compliance with regulatory timelines, report losses to management, and identify fraud trends.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
