About The Position

Teachers On Demand ® is seeking compassionate, skilled, and student-centered Long-Term Substitute Teachers to deliver high-quality education instruction. In this role, you will help scholars grow academically, build confidence, and develop character. The educator will help ensure scholar success daily by showing up prepared, positive, and committed to every scholar, making learning engaging, rigorous, and accessible for each scholar, encouraging academic growth while nurturing confidence and character, partnering with families and teammates to support the whole child, and reflecting on practice and growing through coaching and feedback. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in staff meetings and professional development are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Educator Certification/Licensure in K-5 (Elementary Education Certification)
Experience teaching in a K–5 classroom
Familiarity with data-driven instruction and standards-based planning
Experience in a charter or mission-driven school environment

Nice To Haves

North Carolina Educator License in the appropriate grade band (Elementary Education K–5)
