About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long Term Substitute Teacher to join our team and provide instruction for 5th and 6th grade math students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching math, able to engage students in a positive learning environment, and committed to maintaining continuity of instruction during the regular teacher’s absence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of math concepts and ability to teach them effectively.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing classroom needs and work collaboratively with staff.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching upper elementary math (5th and 6th grade) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver math instruction aligned with the curriculum for 5th and 6th grade students.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher or develop lessons as needed.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and administration.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline according to school policies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
