About The Position
This is a long-term substitute teaching position for a 2nd-grade class at Woodbrook Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. The role involves teaching, leading, and inspiring students to become lifelong contributors and leaders in a dynamic and diverse society. Requirements
- Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement in Elementary Education.
- Candidates should be innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable in their content area and instructional practices, and continually growing and improving.
- Must be passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps.
- Prepared to engage with the Culturally Responsive Teaching model.
Responsibilities
- Teach, lead, and inspire students.

- Support the division's goals of Thriving Students, Affirming and Empowering Communities, and Equitable, Transformative Resources.
- Implement the Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of the Equity Mission Statement.
