About The Position
Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) is seeking an innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, and knowledgeable Library Media Specialist for Woodbrook Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. ACPS is committed to providing authentic, challenging, and relevant learning experiences that prepare students to be lifelong contributors and leaders in a dynamic and diverse society. Requirements
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate.
- Endorsement as a Library Media Specialist or an endorsement that covers elementary grades.
- Innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable in content area and instructional practices.
- Continually growing and improving.
- Passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an educator and specialist at Woodbrook Elementary School.
- Contribute to the division's goals of Thriving Students, Affirming and Empowering Communities, and Equitable, Transformative Resources.
- Engage learners in becoming lifelong contributors and leaders.
- Implement the Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of the Equity Mission Statement.
