About The Position

Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) is seeking an innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, and knowledgeable Library Media Specialist for Woodbrook Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. Requirements

  • Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate.
  • Endorsement as a Library Media Specialist or an endorsement that covers elementary grades.
  • Innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable in content area and instructional practices.
  • Continually growing and improving.
  • Passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an educator and specialist at Woodbrook Elementary School.
  • Contribute to the division's goals of Thriving Students, Affirming and Empowering Communities, and Equitable, Transformative Resources.
  • Engage learners in becoming lifelong contributors and leaders.
  • Implement the Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of the Equity Mission Statement.
