About The Position
This is a long-term substitute position for the 2026-2027 School Year, beginning at the end of September for approximately four months. The role is located at the ELC Marshall in Marshall, MN, and is with the Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC). The position involves either working with families and/or children with emotional, social, personal, or family issues that interfere with achievement or well-being (School Social Worker), or providing individual student counseling and group guidance to encourage educational, vocational, and personal development (School Counselor).
Requirements
- School Social Worker: Bachelor's degree required.
- School Social Worker: MN licensure as School Social Worker from Department of Education and MN Board of Social Work.
- School Social Worker: Must have good organizational skills and ability to interact with multiple agencies.
- School Counselor: Master's Degree required.
- School Counselor: Must be eligible for or hold MN licensure as School Counselor from Department of Education.
Responsibilities
- Works with families and/or children that have emotional, social, personal or family issues that are interfering with achievement or personal well-being.
- Responsible for individual student counseling and group guidance functions by encouraging students to obtain the optimum in educational, vocational, and personal development.
