About The Position

Lake Park High School is hiring an internal-only long-term substitute mathematics teacher for coverage at West Campus from November 9, 2026, to November 20, 2026. Coverage is required during periods 1, 2, 3, and 5, with the opportunity to work the remainder of the day. Substitute teachers serve the District in the same capacity as a regular classroom teacher during that teacher’s absence. The temporary position pays $59.51 per period for four instructional periods per day. Any scheduled periods worked beyond the required four are paid at the employee’s regular position and rate of pay. Applicants must complete an online application and upload the required documents. Applications are accepted through October 30, 2026, or until the position is filled.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Proper licensure required.
• Proficiency with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills.
• Effective communication, human relations, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities
