About The Position

Mathews Local Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Junior High Math Teacher for Mathews Junior High School. This position involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging math lessons that align with the State of Ohio Learning Standards for math and Algebra II. The teacher will be responsible for maintaining a safe, positive, and productive learning environment that promotes mutual respect and academic growth. Additionally, the role requires adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse student needs, abilities, and learning styles, and maintaining open communication with students, parents, and administration regarding academic progress and behavior.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Ohio teaching license/certification
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education or closely related field is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience teaching junior high school mathematics or completing student teaching in a junior high environment is preferred.
