About The Position

This is a long-term substitute position for a Math Teacher, anticipated to run from November 16, 2026, to May 14, 2027. The role involves teaching district-approved curriculum, preparing lesson plans, and creating a conducive learning environment. The teacher will guide students towards achieving curriculum goals, set clear objectives for lessons, and evaluate student growth, maintaining appropriate records and progress reports. Requirements

• Must be DESE certified in Math.

• Five years of experience in a classroom setting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches district-approved curriculum and prepares lesson plans accordingly.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
• Evaluates student's academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
• Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
