About The Position

This is a temporary, long-term substitute position for a 2nd-grade teacher. The role involves instructing and supervising students, maintaining classroom management, and serving as a role model. The substitute will also be responsible for utilizing formative assessments and potentially participating in after-school activities, keeping records, attending professional development, and collaborating with colleagues. Attendance at Fall Parent/Teacher conferences is also required.

Requirements

• Michigan Certification and Endorsements for appropriate grade levels
• Must meet all of the NCLB qualifications

Responsibilities

• Instruction and supervision of students
• Classroom management

• Be involved in after-school and extracurricular activities
• Keep accurate classroom records
• Attend conferences and workshops to keep current
• Work as a team member
• Supervision of students as needed
