Long Term Sub - Science Grade 8 [SY26-27]
About The Position
The Beebe School is hiring a long-term substitute to teach Grade 8 Science during December 2026. The school’s mission is to foster a rigorous, inclusive educational community where students develop literacy across subject areas, use current technologies, think critically, act ethically, lead healthy lives, and participate responsibly in a multicultural society. Staff support independent thinking, enthusiastic learning, effective communication, and students’ academic, physical, civic, and social-emotional growth. The school uses data to inform instruction and values diversity, creative thinking, risk taking, curiosity, and perseverance. The assignment is temporary and is scheduled for the month of December 2026. Compensation depends on certification status: $135 per day for a retired teacher with DESE certification, $125 per day for a candidate with DESE teaching certification, and $100 per day for a candidate without certification. A substitute who holds a bachelor’s degree or teaching license and serves in the same assignment for a 30-consecutive-work-day probationary period may be eligible for a $210 per diem rate for the remainder of the assignment, subject to the stated process.
