About The Position

This role involves performing visual inspections of incoming production parts and materials, identifying and segregating defective material, and preparing documentation. The position requires coordinating with the Quality Control Department and suppliers, performing quality check counts, accessing and tracking orders, and inspecting, scanning, and coordinating end-item shipments. Responsibilities also include printing and pulling RFS orders, inspecting material for damage prior to shipping, and loading/unloading shipments using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. The role also entails generating reports on shipment shortages, reporting employee issues to a supervisor, identifying losses and damages due to carrier negligence, and segregating and providing data for carrier or supplier claims.

Requirements

Forklift operation
Ability to physically lift and carry up to 40 pounds during inspection process.
Experience with pallet jack operation.
Proficiency in accessing and tracking orders via Outlook Distribution List.
Ability to inspect, scan, and coordinate end-item shipments.
Skill in printing and pulling RFS orders.
Ability to inspect material for damage.
Experience generating reports of shipment shortages.
Ability to identify losses and damages of incoming material due to carrier negligence.
Experience segregating and providing data for carrier or supplier claims.

Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections of incoming production parts and materials.
Identify and segregate defective material.
Prepare documentation and enter information into database.
Coordinate with facility Quality Control Department and suppliers on deposition of materials as required.
Perform quality check counts on incoming production parts and materials to ensure accuracy.
Access and track up-to-minute orders via Outlook Distribution List.
Inspect, scan, and coordinate end-item shipments to customers.
Print and pull RFS orders.
Inspect material for damage prior to shipping.
Load and unload shipments with forklift, pallet jack and/or by hand as required.
Generate reports of shipment shortages along with explanation and e-mail to required personnel.
Report any employee issues to supervisor.
Identify losses and damages of incoming material due to carrier negligence.
Segregate and provide data to Traffic Clerk for processing of carrier or supplier claims.
