About The Position

Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is a growing full-turnkey fiber optic contractor on the West Coast, specializing in high-quality design, engineering, construction, splicing, and testing. We handle challenging projects from FTTH and Metro-E to long-haul P2P, data center builds, and emergency response. This is a remote field-based position requiring travel to assigned project sites. Candidates must be comfortable with regular travel and adaptable to changing deployment requirements.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company’s minimum safety standard.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.
• In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products and networking.
• Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
• Self-starter with positive attitude and willingness to work.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of previous experience in the fiber optic field is preferred.
• Desirable work experience includes field engineering and project lead responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic splicing and testing.
• Travel from home to assigned project sites.
