About The Position

Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is seeking a Long Haul Fiber Splicer for an itinerant field-based position. This role requires travel from home to assigned project sites across the western United States. Candidates must be comfortable with regular travel, adaptable to changing deployment requirements, and willing to work in various weather conditions. ZdB is a growing full-turnkey fiber optic contractor known for high-quality design, engineering, construction, splicing, and testing.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company's minimum safety standard.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.
In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products and networking.
Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 75 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather.
Self-starter with positive attitude and willingness to work.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of previous experience in the fiber optic field is preferred.
CDL Preferred but not required.
Desirable work experience includes field engineering and project lead responsibility.
