About The Position

Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. is seeking a Long Haul Dispatcher to join their team in the Twin Cities. This role is responsible for dispatching long distance drivers throughout the United States, ensuring they pack, load, haul, and deliver for corporate employees and private transferees. The dispatcher will also ensure adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of Owner Operator Interstate planning and dispatch experience is required
Previous Household Goods experience is required
Ability to work well with a team, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, constantly changing, high demand work environment
Strong problem solving skills
Self starter motivated by daily challenges
Excellent organizational skills
Robust geographical knowledge

High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

Assign, plan and dispatch drivers/contractors, working closely with management and Operations team(s)
Recruit and grow a stable driving team to maintain the goals of Berger
Develop partnerships to secure hauling opportunities
Maintain data integrity to ensure that accurate information is available for internal and external customers
Oversee contractor performance to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery
Other duties as assigned
