About The Position

Electrify is a dynamic new digital media company that invests in and scales creators with an established YouTube presence. The Rundown is one of the leading channels in their portfolio, focusing on AI news and education. The Video Editor will work closely with the video team to produce video content for The Rundown YouTube page, primarily 30-60 minute interviews. The role involves managing the full edit process, including motion graphics, sound mixing, and visual polish.

Requirements

2-5 years of professional experience editing content for YouTube and/or other social media platforms.
Mastery of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Solid understanding of motion graphics workflows.
Expert-level understanding of full stack editing including basic color grading, audio mixing, sound effects, music selection, and packaging for final delivery.
Understanding of good design principles.
Strong communicator and collaborator.
Independent worker who pays close attention to detail and is comfortable owning work.
An interest in AI, tech, and digital media.

Nice To Haves

Animation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Edit raw interview recordings into polished YouTube videos.
Create lower-third text animations for guest and host names, and other supporting motion graphics.
Ensure high video quality through appropriate color correction, audio mixing, sound effects, and music selection.
Maintain the channel's visual style and stay current with platform trends.
Edit for retention by creating engaging intros, tight pacing, and strategic text/visual placement to maximize watch time.
Manage multiple projects, stay organized, and maintain consistent quality.
